A glass of milk can give athletes an extra edge

March 29, 2011 - London

A new research has suggested that drinking a glass of milk can give athletes a boost.

Researchers from Aberystwyth University, north Wales, say that the milk from a cow that has just given birth is super-potent, reports The Daily Express.

It alleviates the pain of leaky-gut syndrome, a common problem faced by runners during exercise.

Symptoms include pain, stomach upsets and muscle cramps.
