Tendulkar way ahead of Bradman in ongoing SMH poll for 'greatest batsman of all time'

Indian batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar, who scored his 50th Test century last week, is currently leading a poll commissioned to reveal the "greatest batsman of all time".

According to The Sydney Morning Herald poll, Tendulkar has got 59 percent votes of 4755 cricket fans, who have voted so far, as against 33 percent for Australian legend Sir Donald Bradman.

The poll also features Sunil Gavaskar (with four percent), Sir Vivian Richards (two percent), Sir Garfield Sobers (one percent) and Brian Lara (one percent).

West Indies' George Headley, Australian Greg Chappell, New Zealand's Martin Crowe and Englishmen Sir Jack Hobbs and Walter Hammond are yet to open their accounts.

The voting will close on Thursday.
