India equalled its best ever performance in the Commonwealth Games with 30 Gold medals, as Discus Thrower Krishna Poonia bagging a historic Gold medal for the country in athletics after 58 years here today. ANI

Commonwealth Games Canada releases final CWG team list

Commonwealth Games Canada (CGC) has issued the list of athletes, coaches and support staff who make up Team Canada for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India from October 3rd to 14th.


New Delhi, Sept.20 : Commonwealth Games Canada (CGC) has issued the list of athletes, coaches and support staff who make up Team Canada for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India from October 3rd to 14th.

Chef de Mission, Martha Deacon, and CGC's Director of Sport, Scott Stevenson, lead the team.

In all, the squad includes 255 athletes, 51 coaches, 52 mission staff and 42 other support staff, including personal coaches.

Prior to the Games, CGC will issue a news release with the names and contact details for the Team Canada Media Attachis who will be working on site in Delhi, along with an overview of the content that will be available to media on a daily basis throughout the Games.
