Ace tennis star Sania Mirza beat Australias Olivia Rogowska 1-6, 6-4, 6-4 on Friday to enter the womens singles tennis finals at the XIXth Commonwealth Games.


New Delhi, Oct 8 : Ace tennis star Sania Mirza beat Australia's Olivia Rogowska 1-6, 6-4, 6-4 on Friday to enter the women's singles tennis finals at the XIXth Commonwealth Games.

Earlier on Thursday, Sania Mirza defeated eighth seeded New Zealand's Marina Erakovic 6-2, 6-3 to enter the semifinals.

The second-seed registered the win through powerful ground-strokes, sending down three aces to finish her task in less than an hour.
