Shooters Tejaswini, Meena win bronze in 50 meter rifle event

Indian shooters Tejaswini Sawant and Meena Kumari won bronze in womens 50 meter Rifle Prone pairs event at the Karni Singh Shooting Range here on Monday.


New Delhi, Oct.11 : Indian shooters Tejaswini Sawant and Meena Kumari won bronze in women's 50 meter Rifle Prone pairs event at the Karni Singh Shooting Range here on Monday.

Tejaswini scored 583 points while Meena Kumari shot 585 taking the total score to 1,168 points.

Scotland's shooter Jen McIntosh scored 591 points while her partner Kay Copland made 578, hitting 1169 points collectively.

England women shooters Michelle Smith and Sharon Lee scored 590 and 579 points respectively.

There was a tie break between Scotland and England at 1169 points when Scottish duo hit the bull's eye securing the top position. While, England players have to satisfy with the silver medal.
