Six-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer has vowed to fight his way back to the top after falling to his lowest world ranking in seven years.


London, July 4: Six-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer has vowed to fight his way back to the top after falling to his lowest world ranking in seven years.

In the new rankings, to be revealed today, Federer will be down to No. 3 after losing to Tomas Berdych in the Wimbledon quarterfinal earlier this week.

"It's been an amazing run for me, but it's still been seven years that I've always reached the quarters of a slam. I just have to make sure I keep that up and go further," The Daily Express quoted Federer, as saying. pain's Rafael Nadal will retain his No.1 position, while surprise finalist Berdych will move up to No. 8.

Berdych can also go up to seven if he wins today.

Serbia's Novak Djokovic will be unveiled as the new No. 2, and Andy Murray will be at four.
