New York, January 4 : Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich reportedly shelled out 5 million dollars for a star studded New Year's Eve celebration on the Caribbean resort island of Saint Barthilemy.
The 43-year-old purportedly spent 2.6 million dollars on food and drink while the 250 guests were transported with a fleet of private jets to his new 90 million dollar estate.
The oil and steel magnate and his socialite girlfriend Daria Zhukova played host to Lindsay Lohan, Orlando Bloom and his girlfriend, Miranda Kerr, reports the New York Post.
According to the Daily Mail, the budget for entertainment ran up to 1.7 million dollars and performances by Beyonci, Gwen Stefani and Prince drew up a tab of 567,000 dollars each.
Abramovich, also the owner of the Chelsea soccer team and the world's biggest yacht, was said to have made his mark by providing guests with a swimming pool with swim-up bar, as well as an outdoor stage and cinema.
