Mourinho re-ignites feud with Wenger, brands Arsenal Premier League write-offs

Re-igniting his feud with Arsene Wenger, Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has branded Arsenal as Premier League write-offs.

London, Aug 25 : Re-igniting his feud with Arsene Wenger, Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has branded Arsenal as 'Premier League write-offs'.

Arsenal thrashed Blackpool 6-0 on Saturday after coming from behind to draw with Liverpool in the opening weekend.

"Year after year it looks like, but no, it looks like, but no. Always the same type of comment 'It's a young team', It will be next season, it will be next season," The Sun quoted Mourinho, as saying.

"Fantastic for Arsene that he signed a new contract. I remember when we played them in a Carling Cup semi-final when they played the team of young boys. The team of young boys is not the team of young boys now, they are a team of 25, 26, 27 year olds," he said.

"So Fabregas, Walcott, Clichy, Song and Sagna are not kids, they are a team old enough to win things. But they will do it. I think it will again be Manchester United, Chelsea and, of course, Man City, because they have a great squad," Mourinho said.

Former Chelsea chief Mourinho had a turbulent relationship with Wenger and his words are certain to anger him.

Commenting on Premier League title hopefuls, Mourinho said: "I believe Chelsea, United and City, that is it for the title. It's very difficult for Roy Hodgson to do it with Liverpool because in the last years they were getting worse and worse and worse."
