Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) members have indicated that a trusted aide of party chief Nawaz Sharif, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, was left out of the talks with President Asif Ali Zardari due to his known anti-Zardari stance.
Islamabad, Oct 27: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) members have indicated that a trusted aide of party chief Nawaz Sharif, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, was left out of the talks with President Asif Ali Zardari due to his known anti-Zardari stance.
Addressing a press conference after the much-awaited meeting between Nawaz and Zardari, PML-N Leader Raja Zafarul Haq evaded a question about Nisar's absence, but later Khawaja Asif said: Nisar is player of Twenty20 and one-dayers."
Nisar, who is also the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly, is known for targeting Zardari in speeches inside and outside parliament, leading to tensions between the two parties.
Though Nisar claimed that he opted out of the meeting, it is widely believed that he was consciously kept out of the meeting.
