The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has discontinued the governing body membership of Javed Miandad and coach Intikhab Alam, The News reports.oth Alam and Miandad are paid employees of the PCB, thus they are not eligible to remain members of the Governing Board.

Lahore, Jun.5 : The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has discontinued the governing body membership of Javed Miandad and coach Intikhab Alam, The News reports.oth Alam and Miandad are paid employees of the PCB, thus they are not eligible to remain members of the Governing Board.

While Alam had already tendered his resignation from the membership, it was anticipated that the board will also ask Miandad to follow suit.

It may be noted that the PCB is mulling to sack 250 of its employees out of the 544 employed by it at present to cut expenses and restructure the organization.

Sources said it wanted to chop employees, but is undecided over which type of employees it should send packing, the senior staff or the lower ones.
