Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardena and Indias Yuvraj Singh will hold media conferences ahead of this years LG ICC Awards 2008 at the Dubai Room, The Westin Hotel, in Dubai on Tuesday.

Dubai, Sept.8 : Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardena and India's Yuvraj Singh will hold media conferences ahead of this year's LG ICC Awards 2008 at the Dubai Room, The Westin Hotel, in Dubai on Tuesday.

Jayawardena will be joined by spin discovery Ajantha Mendis for the press conference that will take place at 1100 while Yuvraj will be accompanied by team-mate Ishant Sharma for the news conference scheduled for 1430.

Jayawardena has been nominated for the Cricketer of the Year and Test Player of the Year awards while Mendis and Sharma are vying for the Emerging Player of the Year award.

Yuvraj is shortlisted for the newly introduced Twenty20 International Performance of the Year award for his six sixes against England at Durban in the ICC World Twenty20 in South Africa in 2007. He is competing for the prize against team-mate Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Australia's Brett Lee and Chris Gayle of the West Indies.

The LG ICC Awards 2008 will take place this year at The Westin Hotel in Dubai on 10 September.

The LG ICC Awards ceremony is now in its fifth year and this will be the first time it has been staged in Dubai. Previous ceremonies were held in London (2004), Sydney (2005), Mumbai (2006) and Johannesburg (2007).

The LG ICC Awards is presented in association with FICA (the Federation of International Cricketers' Association).
