Michael Phelps offered recurring role in TV series Entourage

Olympic golden boy Michael Phelps has been offered a recurring role in hit TV series Entourage.

Washington, Sept 5 : Olympic golden boy Michael Phelps has been offered a recurring role in hit TV series Entourage.

The cast and crew of the TV series is so impressed by the eight-time gold medal winner's cameo performance that they would like see him again in the show.

Phelps appears in a scene with actor Kevin Connolly.

"I could see him coming back as one of the boys. I can see (my character) Ari being very aggressive in recruiting him to represent him and also stopping at nothing to poach him from another client. That's what Ari would do," Contactmusic quoted actor Jeremy Piven, as saying.

Show creator Doug Ellin also seems to agree with the idea. He said that he was stunned by the mass hysteria when Phelps was spotted by fans on the street.

"It was the coolest thing in the world. When he showed up, I'm not exaggerating, city buses stopped and people started yelling and within five minutes we couldn't even shoot," Ellin added.

Phelps' Entourage episode debuts in America on 7 September (08).
