London, Oct.6 : Chelsea coach Phil Scolari believes his team will get even better and probably take a shot at the title this year.
He was speaking after the Blues blew away in-form Aston Villa 2-0 yesterday in a one-sided affair.
The Blues now occupy the top spot of the Premier League going into the international break after goals from Joe Cole and Nicolas Anelka.
Scolari insists the rest will give his crocked stars the chance to recover.
Scolari said: "When the games resume, we will hopefully have some players back and ready to take up the challenge in all competitions. For me this was the most important game of our season so far.
"If we won we knew we would be top of the league and we would stay there over the international break. And in those 10 days we will see some of our players go off for international duty but others who are injured will have time to recuperate."
Joe Cole picked up a foot injury and will miss England's World Cup qualifiers against Kazakhstan and Belarus. ut Three Lions captain John Terry should be fine despite picking up a knock.
Chelsea is hopeful of having Deco and Alex back for their next league match with Middlesbrough. Ricardo Carvalho and Didier Drogba may return soon after.
