Three Pakistani club will be the main attraction of the Surjit Silver Jubilee hockey tournament to be played under floodlights at the Surjit Astro-turf hockey stadium here from October 18 to 25.

Jalandhar, Oct 4 : Three Pakistani club will be the main attraction of the Surjit Silver Jubilee hockey tournament to be played under floodlights at the Surjit Astro-turf hockey stadium here from October 18 to 25.

According to organising secretary Iqbal Singh Sandhu, three Pakistan teams - Javed Hockey Club, Gojra; Crescent Hockey Club, Sialkot and Independent Hockey Club, Sargodha - have confirmed their participation in the event, to play directly from the quarter-final stage.

The teams have been recommended by Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), Sandhu said.

Some of the teams in the event are: Last year's champions Indian Oil, Mumbai; Punjab and Sind Bank, Delhi; Namdhari XI, Sirsa; Border Security Force, Jalandhar; Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala and Bharat Petroleum.
