Australian cricket vice-captain Michael Clarke is believed to have pulled out of West Indies tour for personal reasons.

Melbourne, May 9 : Australian cricket vice-captain Michael Clarke is believed to have pulled out of West Indies tour for personal reasons.

Sources in the Australian team's Brisbane training camp have said that Clarke had already left the camp to return to Sydney.

Sydney is home to both Clarke's family and that of his fiancee Lara Bingle, the Daily Telegraph reported.

The paper reported that Clarke's father Les has been ill with Hodgkins disease and Bingle's father Graham has been battling liver cancer.

Victorian Brad Hodge is believed to have replaced Clarke in the team.

The 15-man squad is scheduled to fly out of Australia tomorrow for the three-Test tour, starting with a tour match on May 16.
