Patna cricket fans pray for Team Indias victory in 2nd final

A fire ritual was performed here for Indias victory in the second of the three tri-series finals being played against Australia in Brisbane today.

Patna, Mar 4 : A fire ritual was performed here for India's victory in the second of the three tri-series finals being played against Australia in Brisbane today.

"Looking at Team India's performance in ongoing Commonwealth series being played in Australia, we are praying to God that India should defeat them in the remaining two finals and make up for the loss in the tests," said Rakesh Kumar, a fan.

A victory procession was also organised in support of the Indian team.

India crushed Australia by six wickets in Sydney on Sunday to go one-up in the best of three finals.

Ace batsman Sachin Tendulkar scored a masterly century in the match.

Tendulkar batted through the entire Indian innings to post an unbeaten 117 off 120 deliveries and the tourists cruised past Australia's 239 for eight with 25 balls to spare at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
