`Clean living McGrath stumped by Hummer sale call

Former Australian fast bowler Glenn McGrath was clean-bowled on Wednesday when his credentials as a spokesman and promoter for a clean environment were questioned during a radio interview.

Melbourne, Mar.13 : Former Australian fast bowler Glenn McGrath was clean-bowled on Wednesday when his credentials as a spokesman and promoter for a clean environment were questioned during a radio interview.

"Pigeon" as McGrath is fondly known in cricket circles, was in full flight on 2GB's afternoon show with Chris Smith when a caller timed his run on the former fast bowler's form when it comes to adding to emissions.

"So when's the 'For Sale' sign going up on the Hummer, Glenn?" the caller from McGrath's neighbourhood asked.

According to the Daily Telegraph, McGrath offered a sheepish confession to owning the big, mean, polluting machine, and admitted that he was torn over whether to sell it or plant more trees.
