Bhajji issue: Leave the past behind, says Dhoni

Indian One-Day International (ODI) skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has said that its time to leave the past behind as far as the controversy surrounded off-spinner Harbhajan Singh is concerned.

Ranchi, Mar 11 : Indian One-Day International (ODI) skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has said that it's time to leave the past behind as far as the controversy surrounded off-spinner Harbhajan Singh is concerned.

"The whole summer went in making accusations and counter-accusations. Now, we should look forward," Dhoni said here.

Cricket Australia (CA) had lodged a formal complaint with the Indian cricket board over comments made by off-spinner Harbhajan Singh about Australian batsmen Matthew Hayden and Adam Gilchrist.

CA chief executive James Sutherland asked the BCCI to take action against Harbhajan after he called Hayden "a big liar" and termed Gilchrist as being "no saint".

The BCCI said it had instructed Harbhajan not to comment on the controversies, which marred the tour Down Under. He was involved in several disputes with the Australian players during their recent tour.
