Indian authorities on Monday handed over the dead body of a Pakistani cricket fan to Pakistan Rangers here.

Wagah March 10, : Indian authorities on Monday handed over the dead body of a Pakistani cricket fan to Pakistan Rangers here.

The dead body of Khalid Mohammad, who hails from Lahore and arrived in India on cricket visa on April 15, 2005 to watch India-Pakistan cricket match at Mohali, was handed over to neighbouring country, said Lakhvir Singh, a BSF official.

It would be interesting to note that Pakistan security forces has allowed its media to cover the incident, while authorities in India prevented handful of media persons from capturing the photograph of Khalid.

According to sources, Khalid had jumped the visa and went missing, but was arrested in Faridabad on May 17, 2006 and sent to Tihar jail.

In recent past he developed some sickness and was admitted in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) where he died February 12 this year.
