Around 26 Pakistan cricketers, including fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar, have reportedly cleared dope tests conducted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) two weeks ago.
Lahore, July 31 : Around 26 Pakistan cricketers, including fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar, have reportedly cleared dope tests conducted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) two weeks ago.
"The tests were sent to a World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) accredited doping control centre in Malaysia," the Daily Times quoted a PCB spokesman as saying here last evening.
Batsman Younis Khan, who was unavailable for the test, will be tested soon, he added.
The dope test on Pakistani cricketers assumed significance especially in wake of recent incident whereby fast bowler Mohammad Asif tested positive for a performance enhancing drug while he played in Indian Premier League (IPL).
