England pacers on their way to Bollywood

England fast bowlers Sajid Mahmood and Simon Jones are set to make their big-screen debuts in a Bollywood movie about cricket.

London, Jan 3 : England fast bowlers Sajid Mahmood and Simon Jones are set to make their big-screen debuts in a Bollywood movie about cricket.

The sportmen have been invited to play themselves in 'Victory', a film about a boy who realises his ambition of playing for India.

The film will star some of the biggest names in Bollywood as well as a host of current and former cricketers from around the world.

Mahmood, of Lancashire, and Worcestershire paceman Jones will line up alongside the Indian cricket team, Australians Brett Lee, Mike Hussey, Jason Gillespie and Allan Border, and New Zealanders Craig McMillan, Darly Tuffey, Nathan Astle and Martin Crowe.

The film, which also features Bollywood newcomer Harman Baweja and actress Amrita Rao, is set to be released later this year.

"I was quite surprised when approached to be involved, but it's a great opportunity to do something very different," BBC quoted Mahmood, as saying.

"I don't have a big role in the movie, I play myself and bowl - that can't be too difficult to do!" he added.
