A Filipina woman has claimed that the late world champion Bobby Fischer fathered her child, and is now demanding a share of his 1.8 million dollar estate.
London, Feb.9 : A Filipina woman has claimed that the late world champion Bobby Fischer fathered her child, and is now demanding a share of his 1.8 million dollar estate.
Marilyn Young, whose daughter is seven, joins two nephews of the late chess grand master, a Japanese woman who says she was his wife and the US tax authorities in staking a claim.
"We have substantial proof to back the claims of Marilyn Young and her daughter Jinky. They even stayed with him in Iceland for three weeks in September 2005," The Telegraph quoted her lawyer, Samuel Estimo, as saying.
Fischer lived his last years in Iceland, where he defeated Boris Spassky from the Soviet Union in 1972.
Estimo said that he intends to file the case in Iceland.
