Sarfraz Nawaz says corrupt PCB chief , officials should be put on Exit Control List

Former Pakistan fast bowler Sarfraz Nawaz has demanded the removal of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Nasim Ashraf and other key officials, and suggested that their names be included in the Exit Control List (ECL) because they have ruined the development of the sport in Pakistan and committed grave financial and administrative irregularities.

Lahore, Feb.28 : Former Pakistan fast bowler Sarfraz Nawaz has demanded the removal of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Nasim Ashraf and other key officials, and suggested that their names be included in the Exit Control List (ECL) because they have ruined the development of the sport in Pakistan and committed grave financial and administrative irregularities.

Nawaz told the Daily Times that apart from Ashraf, the other officials who needed to be targetted are the PCB's CFO Hasan Ahmad and COO Shafqat Naghmi.

"There must be audit of the PCB accounts by any 'honest' company. The truth will come out. There are a number of wrongdoings. There is no transparency in PCB's financial matters," the paper quoted Nawaz , as saying.

Sarfraz played 55 Tests and 45 one-day internationals for Pakistan, and claimed 177 Test and 63 ODI wickets.

On the controversy surrounding the Australian team's tour of Pakistan, he said that the PCB has 'failed miserably' in convincing Cricket Australia to go ahead with the trip.

He also said that Shoaib Malik was not smart enough to lead the Pakistan cricket team, and said that Misbahul Haq would be a better choice.

"Despite some of our team's poor performances in international arena, I am still optimistic that Pakistan cricket's future is bright and we can rule the world," he concluded.
