Becks pulls out of charity event

Ace footballer David Beckhams last minute walk out as a host of a charity event has left organisers in a lurch.

London, Feb 1 : Ace footballer David Beckham's last minute walk out as a host of a charity event has left organisers in a lurch.

Becks, who was to host the charity event organised by Liv charity founded by his footballer friend Thierry Henry, pulled out of the event after he learnt that he has being axed from the England squad for the next match.

The 32-year-old footballer was due to greet PM Gordon Brown and Elton John at London's Dorchester Hotel.

"His decision to cancel at the last minute was lousy. We're gutted he's left us in the lurch," The Sun quoted a charity source, as saying.

However, Becks insisted he was ordered back for training with LA Galaxy.
