ICL has no fight with IPL: Kapil Dev

The chairman of the Indian Cricket League, Kapil Dev, today made it clear that the ICL has no fight with IPL.

Bangalore, Aug.5 : The chairman of the Indian Cricket League, Kapil Dev, today made it clear that the ICL has no fight with IPL.

Speaking to reporters here, Dev said that the ICL is providing more and more jobs to the people and opportunities to budding talent.

The ICL's training camp which began on July 26, concluded today.

The camp was held under the guidance of Jock Campbell, the High Performance Director of ICL.

Addressing media persons at the Jain International School here where the training camp took place, Kapil Dev said that ICL is focusing purely on cricket and nothing else.

Throughout the press conference, Dev repeatedly clarified that the ICL has nothing against the IPL.

While Kapil appreciated the marketing strategy of IPL, he said that if any player of ICL deserves to play in Indian team, he would leave it to media to see that the player gets the chance to represent the country.

Stating that it is the cricketer who is controlling the cricket, Kapil Dev opined that the ICL is yet to complete a long way. While talking about Sachin and other players of the Indian team, Kapil said that he would expect a better performance from them in future. By Sughosh Nigale
