Pakistans Senate Committee on Sports has summoned former cricket captain Inzamam-ul-Haq and wicketkeeper Moin Khan after both were reportedly dragged by fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar into alleged match-fixing scandals.

Islamabad, Apr 10 : Pakistan's Senate Committee on Sports has summoned former cricket captain Inzamam-ul-Haq and wicketkeeper Moin Khan after both were reportedly dragged by fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar into alleged match-fixing scandals.

Akhtar allegedly told a television show that both former Test players offered him money to under perform in some matches.

Former teammates Inzamam-ul-Haq and Moin Khan have threatened to sue the speedster over his allegations.

Senator Enver Baig has said that the Standing Committee on sports will meet on April 14.

According to the Dawn, the Standing Committee will discuss the ban imposed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) disciplinary committee on Akhtar, and other issues of the PCB.

The Chairman of the PCB, Dr Nasim Ashraf, disciplinary committee head Lt General (retired) Munir Hafeez and Akhtar will also appear at the meeting and explain their position.
