Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf in his capacity as patron-in-chief of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has directed the concerned authorities that fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar should not be given any leniency over his quarrel with Muhammad Asif.
Islamabad, Sept 8 : Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf in his capacity as patron-in-chief of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has directed the concerned authorities that fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar should not be given any leniency over his quarrel with Muhammad Asif.
The President issued these directives after taking serious notice of quarrel between Shoaib Akhtar and Muhammad Asif in South Africa during Twenty20 tournament, The News reported, quoting sources.
Musharraf directed PCB chairman Dr. Nasim Ashraf to take strict action against Shoaib Akhtar as the quarrel between Shoaib Akhtar and Muhammad Asif has brought bad name to Pakistan.
He also directed PCB to adopt the policy of zero tolerance to avoid such incidents in future.
