Symonds remains not out with 107 runs; Zahir claims 2 wickets

Symond's 107 runs along with Gilchrist's 51 and Ponting's 49 runs has helped Australia to set a target of 318 runs for India in the 6th One Day International match at Vidarbha CA Ground in Nagpur.

Australia lost an early wicket in the first over itself but then Gilchrist and Ponting made a good partnership before Ponting lost his wicket to a ball from Harbhajan Singh. Soon Australia lost the wicket of Gilchrist too. Hodge, Haddin and Hopes made small scores while Symonds continues his play in a stable manner.

Australia crossed the 300 runs mark at the 48.2 overs amidst some good runs generated by Symonds. Brett Lee got run out making 17 runs at 49.3 overs. Johnson was runout off the last ball of the innings. Australia finally were able to make 317/8 runs at the end of its battings innings.

Zahir Khan took 2 wickets giving 62 runs. Sreesanth, Pathan, Harbhajan Singh and Kartik are able to take 1 wicket each. India needs to make 318 runs in the stipulated 50 overs at a required run rate of 6.5 runs an over.
