Lahore, May 8 : The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will appoint a new cricket coach for the national squad before July 1.
PCB Chairman Nasim Ashraf told reporters at the Gaddafi Stadium here Monday that, "We are in search of a qualified coach and we will select the most suitable candidate with the help of our search committee. I hope the process will be completed before July first."
The Daily Times quoted him as saying that the PCB had advertised for the coveted post worldwide, and so far, four foreign coaches from different countries including England and West Indies had submitted their credentials.
He refused to divulge the names of the applicants.
He said the team needed a coach who can polish players' skills, point out weaknesses and take remedial measures.
