Kolkata, May 3 : Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, who sprained his right ankle during a conditioning camp at Kolkata's Eden Gardens on Wednesday, will undergo an x-ray at a private hospital here this morning.
Cricket team sources said that the x-ray is being done to rule out the possibility of a fracture. They also said that the batting maestro will not participate in Thursday's session of the ongoing five-day conditioning camp, as he has been advised rest by the medical team.
Tendulkar was trying to avoid a bouncer from fast bowler Sreesanth, when he twisted his right ankle on Wednesday afternoon.
Surendra Bhave, the team's administrative manager said that physio John Gloster was monitoring the injury and the recovery process.
The cricket team's conditioning camp in Kolkata ends on May 6. The one-day squad will then head for Dhaka to play three one-day internationals from May 10. The Test squad will follow thereafter.
The camp consists of two sessions - fielding and fitness in the morning and nets in the afternoon.
