Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar sprained his right ankle during a conditioning camp at Kolkata's Eden Gardens on Wednesday.
Kolkata, May 3 : Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar sprained his right ankle during a conditioning camp at Kolkata's Eden Gardens on Wednesday.
Tendulkar was trying to avoid a bouncer from fast bowler Sreesanth.
Surendra Bhave, the team's administrative manager said that physio John Gloster was monitoring the injury and the recovery process.
"Sachin Tendulkar has just sprained his ankle. There is a little swelling. The injury was not serious," Bhave said.
The cricket team is in Kolkata for a five-day conditioning camp ahead of their tour of Bangladesh, where they play three one-day internationals and two tests from May 10.
The camp consists of two sessions - fielding and fitness in the morning and nets in the afternoon.
