PCB likely to take charge of Abu Dhabi Stadium

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is likely to take the operational charge of Zayed Cricket Stadium Abu Dhabi from next year.

Islamabad, May 24 : The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is likely to take the operational charge of Zayed Cricket Stadium Abu Dhabi from next year.

According to The Nation, PCB Chairman Nasim Ashraf said that the PCB and the Abu Dhabi Cricket Club (ADCC) have agreed to the proposal and would sign an agreement soon.

Ashraf said the Abu Dhabi Cricket Club (ADCC) is keen to involve Pakistan in all its activities and informally requested for helping them out in the organisation of big events.

Ashraf said that PCB had played major role in the organisation of recent series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka although it was not announced formally and the PCB officials remained in the background during the event.

Talking about future events, he said India, West Indies, South Africa and Sri Lanka were the teams besides Pakistan which would feature in such series.

He said that despite all this working relationship for making Abu Dhabi a big cricket venue, the ADCC would have main part of the association.
