Becks teammate will clean his pool for extra cash!

A football player at the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer club has offered clean former England captain David Beckhams swimming pool, so that he can make some extra bucks over his salary.

London, May 23 : A football player at the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer club has offered clean former England captain David Beckham's swimming pool, so that he can make some extra bucks over his salary.

Defender TY Harden, who is one of the lowest paid players in America's Major League Soccer, runs a pool valeting service to boost his earnings.

He serves his teammates and other club staff to add some cash to his annual earnings of 9,000 pounds.

Harden thinks that he would never be able to return Beckham's favour if ever the latter bought him dinner at an expensive restaurant. The only option he sees is left to him is to provide Beckham with his services for some money.

"It could be embarrassing if he buys a few of us dinner at a top restaurant and expects the favour returned," the Sun quoted him as saying.

"The only way I'll be able to do that is if he pays me a couple of hundred bucks to clean his pool," he added.

Beckham landed in London on Monday to collect a Global Achievement gong at the Sun-backed Greatest Britons 2007 awards.

He revealed that his wife, Victoria, had been busy decorating their new 11 million pound Beverly Hills home, where they plan to move after he quits Spanish giants Real Madrid.

"I haven't even seen the house yet, only the photos and videos. But Victoria has been working really hard decorating - obviously not literally - and finding schools for the boys," he said.

Beckham expressed hopes that his he and Victoria would become very good friends of his teammates at LA Galaxy.

"It's great to already have friends in LA like Tom, Katie and Jennifer. But I also look forward to getting to know my new teammates better and hopefully Victoria will get on well with their wives and girlfriends," he said.
