Pakistan and India have qualified for this years Bermuda Bowl World Bridge Championship after securing top two berths in the 14th Asia and Middle East Championship at Carlton Hotel here on Friday.

Karachi, May 19 : Pakistan and India have qualified for this year's Bermuda Bowl World Bridge Championship after securing top two berths in the 14th Asia and Middle East Championship at Carlton Hotel here on Friday.

After conclusion of the 14th round in the triple league competition, India and Pakistan took an assailable 280 and 238 victory points lead respectively in the five-nation championship.

A Daily Times report said that reigning champion India maintained their invincibility when they demolished last championship's runners-up Jordan 24-6.

Bangladesh secured third spot when they thrashed Sri Lanka 20-10. Sri Lanka slipped to the last spot.

India and Pakistan will feature in the Bermuda Bowl to be held in Shanghai in September-October this year.
