Melbourne, May 15 : The Zimbabwe-Australia series was officially cancelled on Tuesday after Zimbabwe Cricket informed Cricket Australia that it could not agree to play the series at a neutral venue.
James Sutherland, CEO of Cricket Australia was reportedly told by his Zimbabwean counterpart Ozias Bvute that playing the series at a neutral venue was not a possibility.
There had been speculation that the three ODIs might be rescheduled to a neutral venue, but last night that plan was scotched by the Mugabe regime.
