Karachi, May 1 : The Pakistan hockey team flew out on Tuesday to Kuala Lumpur to take part in the eight-nation Sultan Azlan Shah Cup to be held from May 5-13 in the Malaysia city of Ipoh.
Pakistan will play their first match against hosts Malaysia.
Pakistan team captain Rehan Butt said the team is capable of producing positive results after hard work put in at a 24-day training camp in Karachi.
Team manager Islahuddin said Pakistan hockey was passing through a rebuilding phase.
South Korea, Canada, India, Argentina and China and hosts Malaysia are some of the other teams participating in the tourney.
