Dawood Mafia killed Woolmer, claims website

The controversy over the death of Pakistan cricket team coach Bob Woolmer does not seem to die down, with an Indian website claiming that he did not die of a heart attack, but his death was engineered by the Dawood Mafia.

New Delhi, June 12 : The controversy over the death of Pakistan cricket team coach Bob Woolmer does not seem to die down, with an Indian website claiming that he did not die of a heart attack, but his death was engineered by the Dawood Mafia.

According to politcsparty.com, underworld don Dawood Ibrahim is the man who runs cricket, particularly in the sub-continent-- Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. It further claimed that the Dawood Mafia pays cricketers and umpires a huge amount to follow its direction on the ground.

Woolmer came to know about this during his term as the coach of Pakistan cricket team. And, fearing that the 58-year-old coach might disclose it to the world, contract killers hired by the Dawood Mafia murdered him on March 18, a day after Pakistan lost to minnows Ireland in the very first round of the World Cup.

This allegation comes just ahead of a press conference called by the Jamaica Police, which is expected to officially announce that Woolmer was not murdered, but died of a heart attack in his hotel room.
