Daughters birth has changed Tiger Woods life

Golf champion Tiger Woods says that his life has changed ever since the birth of his baby daughter, Sam Alexis, on June 18.

Washington, July 4 : Golf champion Tiger Woods says that his life has changed ever since the birth of his baby daughter, Sam Alexis, on June 18.

He said that he and his wife Elin Nordegren were very happy to become parents, adding that the girl's birth was like a dream come true for them.

"It's been fantastic these last couple weeks to have Sam Alexis as part of our life," People magazine quoted him as saying at a press conference on Tuesday to Kick off the At and T national Golf Tournament, which he is hosting this week.

"It was a dream come true for both Elin and myself. I've been changing diapers and doing feedings. I definitely don't sleep now," he added.

The golfer also revealed that he named his daughter Sam because his own late father, Earl Woods, used to call him by this title.

"We wanted to have a name that would be meaningful. My father had always called me Sam since the day I was born. He rarely ever called me Tiger," he said.

The new father further said that though his daughter was just two weeks old, she has had the experience of holding a golf club in her hand.

"She couldn't quite hold it, but it was there," he said.
