Keeping faith with its World Cup squad, the Cricket Australia selection committee today named their squad for theTwenty20 World Cup to be held in South Africa in September.

Sydney, July 20 : Keeping faith with its World Cup squad, the Cricket Australia selection committee today named their squad for theTwenty20 World Cup to be held in South Africa in September.

Ricky Ponting will captain the side.

Announcing the squads for the Twenty20 World Cup and for the one day series in India, besides the Australia `A' squad, the Chairman of selectors, Andrew Hilditch, said in a Cricket Australia statement, that the selectors felt the World Cup winning side deserved the chance to prove they could perform to the highest standards in both shorter forms of the game

The teams are as follows:

Australia squad for Twenty20 World Cup Ricky Ponting (captain), Adam Gilchrist (vice-captain),Nathan Bracken, Stuart Clark, Michael Clarke, Brad Haddin,Matthew Hayden, Brad Hodge, Brad Hogg, Michael Hussey, MitchellJohnson, Brett Lee, Andrew Symonds, Shaun Tait and Shane Watson.

Australia squad to tour India (Sept. 25-Oct. 21) Ricky Ponting (captain), Adam Gilchrist (vice-captain),Nathan Bracken, Stuart Clark, Michael Clarke, Matthew Hayden,Brad Hodge, Brad Hogg, Michael Hussey, Mitchell Johnson, BrettLee, Andrew Symonds, Shaun Tait and Shane Watson.

Australia A squad to tour Pakistan (Sept. 1-Sept. 22) Adam Voges (captain), Cameron White (vice-captain), Cullen Bailey, Doug Bollinger, Dan Cullen, Ben Hilfenhaus, James Hopes, David Hussey, Phil Jaques, Andrew McDonald, Stuart MacGill, Ashley Noffke, Chris Rogers and Luke Ronchi.
