Former skipper Sachin Tendulkar and wicketkipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni may not play the Bangalore Test against Pakistan beginning Saturday, because of injuries.

Bangalore, Dec 7 : Former skipper Sachin Tendulkar and wicketkipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni may not play the Bangalore Test against Pakistan beginning Saturday, because of injuries.

Both are nursing old ankle injuries that got aggravated in the drawn second Test in Kolkata.

Gautam Gambhir has been called as back-up.

Captain Anil Kumble said that a decision on Tendulkar and Dhoni's inclusion would be made after both undergo fitness tests on Saturday morning.

India is leading the ongoing series 1-0.

The Indian squad for the third Test: Wasim Jaffer, Dinesh Karthik, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, VVS Laxman, Yuvraj Singh, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (WicketKeeper), Anil Kumble (Captain), Harbhajan Singh, VRV Singh, Murali Kartik, Irfan Pathan, Ishant Sharma.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Vice captain Yunus Khan has agreed to lead his side in the final Test, as Captain Shoib Malik, who missed the Kolkata match has been ruled out for this match also, due to an ankle injury.
