Romantic Roo pays for fiancée Coleens parachute lessons

England striker Wayne Rooney is known for his football skills the world over, but the public would also be happy to know that he is a romantic at heart.

London, Dec.7 : England striker Wayne Rooney is known for his football skills the world over, but the public would also be happy to know that he is a romantic at heart.

This aspect of his personality was there for all to see, when he paid for his fiancée Coleen McLoughlin's six parachuting lessons as part of a sky diving course.

It was undertaken as part of a New Year bet between the two, reports The Sun.

Coleen boasted she had the bottle to jump out of a plane, while Wayne bet her she hadn't.

A source said: "Wayne has been thinking about a good present for Coleen's Christmas for a while. She was having a laugh, boasting about how brave she is - and he was winding her up, saying she was a chicken at heart.

"Coleen said she had the bottle to do a parachute jump but Wayne wasn't having it.

"He's got a course booked for her now so he'll find out soon enough if she has the nerve.

"He wanted to give it a try as well but Sir Alex Ferguson, his agent and his insurers might have something to say about it."
