Becks used cutlery and bits of meal up for grabs at auction!

Fans of David Beckham will get an opportunity to grab a half-eaten corn cob, a half-filled Coke bottle, as well as the fork and knife he ate his meal with thanks to a female fan who grabbed the remnants of the footballers meal when he dined in a New Zealand restaurant.

Becks dined at the Nando's restaurant in Courtenay Place while in the country, and when he got up to leave, a female diner grabbed the used cutlery and bits of meal.

She has now put them up for auction on TradeMe, with a starting price for each set at 50 dollars - except for the corn, which is 100 dollars.

And while some might have objected to her helping herself to Becks' things, Dinesh Patel, manager of the restaurant, certainly had no problems.

"Cutlery is cheap enough so we can replace the items easily, and as for taking the corn cob, well, what can I say?" stuff.co.nz quoted him as telling the Dominion Post.

"I think it is brilliant that someone would go to those lengths to make some money. I don't know who the person was, but I wish them luck."

Mr Patel said Beckham was extremely friendly and accommodating to the other diners.

"Once he finished his meal he was more than happy to sign some autographs. His security guard, though, was a bit grumpy, but I shouted him a few drinks."

Another punter is selling a signed copy of the star's boarding pass from his Sydney-to-Wellington flight.

But there is just one hitch - the seller is offering only a photocopy for he wants to keep the original for himself.
