In a surprise move, the selectors of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday recalled Virender Sehwag back into the Test squad for the forthcoming four-Test series against Australia.

Bangalore, Dec 12 : In a surprise move, the selectors of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday recalled Virender Sehwag back into the Test squad for the forthcoming four-Test series against Australia.

Sehwag, who was not in the list of 24 probables named earlier for the Australian tour was recalled as Gautam Gambhir has injured his shoulder, and would not be available.

Rajasthan's Pankaj Singh has also made into the 16-man squad, while Munaf Patel has been dropped.

India's Test squad for Australia is as follows: Wasim Jaffer, Virender Sehwag, Dinesh Karthik, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, VVS Laxman, Yuvraj Singh, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (wicket keeper), Anil Kumble (skipper), Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, RP Singh, Irfan Pathan, Ishant Sharma, Pankaj Singh.
