London, Aug 21 : It's a case of 'Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde' for David Beckham when he's not able to play football, for he goes from being a rather mild mannered man to a 'terrible person'.
Beckham admits that not being able to play either due to injury, or simply being left out on the bench, makes him a terrible person to be around, and that wife Victoria is the one who bears the brunt of his foul mood.
"I'm a terrible person to be around when I'm not playing soccer," The Sun quoted him, as telling CNN International's World Sport.
"When I'm injured or when I'm off the team, you can ask my wife, she knows exactly how I am and how passionate I am about being on the field, and when I'm not on the field it affects me on and off the pitch," he added.
Becks also opened up about the move to LA, and dismissed rumours that he was not happy with the move, and that he would rather have stayed in Europe.
"I'm loving it. I think it's a great place to bring up kids. It's a great place for my family to live," he said.
"Victoria is happy and the three boys are really happy. They couldn't be any happier at the moment. There are so many different places they haven't been.
"They go down to the beach once or twice a week. To have that quality in their lives makes them very happy."
Beckham has reason to be happy, for not only was he handed the captain's armband during his most recent game for his new club, but he showed his magic on the field, scoring a goal from a trademark free kick, and assisting with the second goal.
