Nadiad (Gujarat), Aug 2 : Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sharad Pawar has said that a hunt is on for a permanent cricket coach for the national squad.
"There is a requirement for the new coach and we will take a final decision once we find the right man," Pawar said.
But he also said that the national team was not in dire need of a coach as senior players were handling the situation quite well.
"What would a coach teach to players like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly?," he asked.
They have played so many matches and made world records and these senior players are also good coach for the new comers, he added.
