Guntur Mayor arrested and released

The Mayor of Guntur Municipality Mr. Ch Yesurathnam was arrested by police and was later released on bail. He was arrested for obstructing the destruction of unauthorized constructions in an apartment near NTR Stadium in Guntur.

Minister inaugurates meet on Marketing and Warehousing

Minister for Marketing and Warehousing Mr. D Anjaneyulu inaugurated an Open Discussion on 'Role of Marketing and Warehousing in quality and price of goods'. He said that the Government will be strict on people who sell spurious seeds in the market.

CLP leader asks for review of EAMCET 2002 date

CLP Leader Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy asked the Government to review the proposal of postponement of EAMCET 2002 to the third week of May in the interest of the students who appear for IIT JEE.
