'Far From Beyond': A Glimpse into the World of Biotechnology and the Future of the Free World

SYDNEY, Australia, Nov. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Meet Dr. David Onslow, owner of Excellon, a biotech company based in Panacea Valley, California. Celebrate with him as he and his team of scientists rise to the top with the successes of several of their blockbuster protein drugs. Reminisce with him about a mysterious night in the 1970s when he witnessed a meteorite crash near a creek on his grandfather's farm. Stand with his wife Kate, and a team of doctors at the foot of his hospital bed wondering why such a healthy man suddenly blacked out and collapsed while on the golf course. Fight alongside his daughter, Amelia, as she struggles to survive in a world that seems "Far From Beyond."

Author Dr. Rick Ng is excited to introduce his first novel, "Far From Beyond" (published by iUniverse -- http://www.iuniverse.com), written about a time and place that could not be too far off in the future. With the advances in biotechnology and intelligence, space exploration and a truly global marketplace, the world as we know it stands at the grasp of anyone's reach. That reach may not be embraced by the right people or power, however. Global dominance is a subject of social conversation and political fear on an ongoing basis each and every day. But it only takes one day to change everything ... including the fame, fortune, and life of one biotech mogul from California:

Glancing in the mirror as he prepared to shave, Onslow shrank back and
dropped his razor, which clattered to the floor. The image staring back
at him was Onslow, but not Onslow. It vaguely resembled him: the same
boyish, unwrinkled face, and slightly tussled brown hair. But this face
had wide-set bug eyes, a protruding forehead and a pointed-not
square-chin. And his once brown eyes had now taken on a golden hue.
