Vu Televisions to Sell LED TVs Directly to Customers at ‘Company Direct Prices’ Online and to Offer an Additional 5% Company Cash Back on Large Size

May 14, 2014 - Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

US Luxury Television brand, Vu is venturing into new exciting territory. By forging strategic partnerships with key online shopping portals such as Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, HomeShop18 and Ebay, among others, customers will now be able to purchase Vu products online at even more competitive prices. As a technology pioneer backed by American innovation, the company has also launched their brand new website www.vutvs.com to make their online presence dynamic and seamless. After six successful years in the business and with more than 1 lakh televisions sold in India itself, Vu is the first television brand to offer products through their new e-retailing model at ‘Company Direct Prices’ on their 24” to 84” LED TV’s. This strategy underscores the brand’s continued growth in India and abroad. The online partnerships will dramatically enhance reach and enable customers to buy Vu televisions in 18,000 locations in the country including those in Tier II and Tier III cities.

The customer is the real winner with this e-retailing launch with significant benefits in three key areas:

  • Company Direct Pricing: Vu’s online pricing will be controlled by the company itself and will not be affected in any way by dealers and/or distributors. This results in cost savings (as much as 40% in many cases and an additional 5% company cash-back on all online purchases of televisions that are 50” or larger
  • Company Direct Support: After sales service and support will also be managed by Vu. Customers no longer need to be wary of spurious parts, ‘Dealer Warranties’ or any unscrupulous tactics that other brands resort to. Vu Products come along with Direct Company support
  • Global Quality Standards: The identical product will be shipped to customers in any part of the world. Customers can rest assured that all products adhere to international standards. The same Vu products that are sold in the US and Europe (complete with their A+ Grade Panels) are the same ones that will be sold in India.

An e-retailing presence will also help Vu cater to the ever growing global demand for their products. The 2nd phase of Vu’s expansion plan includes adding more products to their online offering and partnering with additional e-retailing portals.

Devita Saraf, CEO, Vu Luxury Televisions says, “The Vu brand has proven to be an overwhelming success story since we started and our customers have received our products extremely well over the years. The shift in our strategy will definitely allow our customer engagement to be deeper and more personal, while allowing users from all corners of the country to avail the benefits of an e-retailing set-up.”

After months of testing, Vu is gearing up for aggressive triple digit growth in the e-retailing sector.
