Tony Blair 'misses being UK prime minister'

July 1, 2012 - London

Former British prime minister Tony Blair has said he missed being the leader of the country, and has reiterated his desire to come back to frontline politics, according to a report.

Blair, who left Downing Street in 2007 after 10 years in power, also said he would have considered the posts of president of the EU or the World Bank if they had been offered to him.

He even suggested that the experience gained from his business and advisory roles since leaving power made him well suited to make a comeback, The Daily Mail reports.

"I feel I've got something to say.. 'If people want to listen, that's great, and if they don't, that's their choice," Blair told the FT Weekend magazine.

"I would want to emphasise how fast the world around us is changing and how incredibly dangerous it is for us to think we can stand still," he added.

Blair's comments come only two days after he admitted in another interview that he would like to be the UK Prime Minister again.
