  • Radical preacher Abu Hamza al-Masri, Khaled al-Fawwaz, Babar Ahmad, Adel Abdul Bary and Syed Talha Ahsan have been extradited to the United States from Britain late Friday. All the five were battling extradition for more than eight years. The five were facing a variety of charges in the United States.
  • The unemployment rate hits its lowest in three and a half years at 7.8%. Fresh numbers were released by the Department of Labor Friday which showed that the unemployment is at 7.8% in September compared to 8.1% in August 2012.
  • The Cuban authorities has released Yoani Sanchez, a prominent blogger on Friday. She, along with her husband Reinaldo Escobar and half dozen other dissidents were taken into custody on Thursday.
